JOURNEY TO THE VALLEY: DAY 2 – ON PAINTING A PICTURE OF A WORLD WITHOUT YOUR COMPANY

Day 2 – Part 1 : The California Delegation Breakfast
I only felt the true brunt of the US time zone to Malaysian time zone work difference on May 2nd itself, the day where Malaysian companies are back to work at full force!
Ending my day at 10PM Washington DC time means 10AM Malaysian time, where the whole of Virtualtech Frontier (VTF) and its fellow clients and partners are up and running, which also means the unavoidable flood of WhatsApp and emails!
After ending my day at 2.30AM, I had to wake up at 6AM the next day for a meeting with the Californian delegation where representatives of the California state came and greeted some companies in a private breakfast session.
It was there, I re-heard a phrase that I have not heard for a very long time that changed my perception of how I view my company in the upcoming few days.

One of the speakers, a VC based in California, raised an important question to all of us. He mentioned revenue and growth are indeed good, but his more interested in the question of
“Tell me a world, where you don’t exist, and tell me one, that you do. How well could you tell the difference?
To be frank, this is not the first time ever that I heard about this. However, it is indeed something I definitely have not been practising, which gave me a lot of food for thought.
Day 2 – Part 2 : The Select USA Tech Exhibition
The day continued on with an exhibition space that requires a first-come-first-serve basis! Me and fellow sustainable company Entomol’s Yan Ni and Vic, with fellow MedTech startup QMED and Dr. Kev managed to get a very strategic location in the hall. Various important personnel came and took pic with us.

Day 2 – Part 3: To the Malaysian Embassy!
We ended our day by heading over to the Malaysian Embassy, where the 9 companies present on that night had to pitch to the Malaysian Diaspora, the Malaysian Ambassador, various government ministries and agencies, and fellow Taiwan counterparts.

What I did not expect for the night to happen, was to hear Sharma’s amazing pitch of his company Accendo (https://accendotechnologies.com/)!

Sharma executed perfectly the situation that caught my attention earlier this morning, where he very imaginatively and intensely described a world without his company. The smart use of data, facts, and storytelling really ascended (pun intended hehe) the prowess of bringing forth the importance of his company. Amazing stuff!
So tell me, a world without your company?
This has been something I attempted to figure out for the day, and with some research and attempts, here goes nothing.
“On the most layman of terms, a world without Mitoworld.io means a world where people cant access the Metaverse easily. With Mitoworld, they can do it much faster and easier, thus increasing adoption rate.”
Is that going to convince anyone to use it? Someone very familiar with the metaverse maybe, but to an average joe, walking away from it is a very obvious direction.
What if we, do it this way instead.
